The Lost and Found Pile

The sadness of being lost and the joy of being found

This is a story starter so you can finish it and submit your ending.

By Tracey and Elizabeth (both 5th graders)

The school had a big lost and found pile. Tracey and Elizabeth were given permission to look for Tracey’s missing sweater.

Tracey dug through the pile while Elizabeth held her by the waist. But Tracey leaned over too far and both girls went tumbling into the huge pile.

The girls fell and fell into another world and finally landed on a soft floor covered with clothes. The clothing pieces each came to life. Two shirts took the girls by the hand and gave them a tour through their world.

The shirts told them how sad they were to be lost. They told them what it was like to be without an owner or a home.

{What adventures might Tracey and Elizabeth have? How do they get out of the pile? How are they able to help the clothes in the pile?}
